Job Description:
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)
- Schedule Options:
- 36/36
- 36/48
- 48/48
- Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Accepting first-time travelers
- AHA BLS, NIH, and AHA ACLS certifications required
- Permanent residence must be 100 miles or more from the hospital's service area
- Orientation Details:
- General orientation begins on Sundays
- Online CBLs for initial training
- 16 hours of nonbillable orientation included
- Contract Features:
- Ability to cancel/call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty for 36/36 or 36/48 schedules due to decrease in census
- Support and participate in nursing student education while providing high-quality patient care
- Unit Details:
- Patient ratio on days and nights: 7:1
- Float requirement: Must float to Medical-Surgical with a 1:7 patient ratio
- Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 33
- Total Beds: 33
- Skills Required:
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry
- Care for ventilated patients and central line management
- Familiarity with emergency response and post-surgical care
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Additional Information:
- Must pass Relias advanced EKG test within 72 hours after offer acceptance
- Complete drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start
- Compliance modules average 4-5 hours, completed during orientation
- Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing compliance
