Overview WK Medical Center – Diabetes & Nutrition – Diabetes & Nutrition-Outpatient Shreveport, LA Nursing Full-Time, Day, M-F Posted 07/14/2026 Position RN Diabetes Nurse Educator (Diabetes Nurse Educator) – Full-Time, Day shift Responsibilities Provide diabetes self-management education to patients with diabetes in classroom and individual settings in accordance with American Diabetes Association Self-Management Education program recognition guidelines. Assess patients with diabetes; develop individualized education plans; establish goals and objectives; develop self-management support plans; educate clinical professionals. Ensure patient satisfaction, deliver quality care, and maintain compliance with regulatory agency standards. Qualifications Current RN license in the state of Louisiana. Preference for Certified Diabetes Educator. Ability to attend hospital and department orientation upon hire.
