Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical step down / progressive care unit with a census of up to 20 beds
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, caring for patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Monitor and assess patient status, implement care plans, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Float to intermediate care (IMCU) units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a step down, progressive care, or intermediate care setting
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing complex, high-acuity medical patients in a step down or IMCU environment
• Familiarity with floating across multiple intermediate care units
• Experience with sepsis protocols and cardiac or respiratory monitoring
