Per Diem Bilingual Chaplain- South Lake Hospital

Spiritual Care Chaplain Provides spiritual and emotional care for patients, their loved ones and team members on assigned unit(s). Responsibilities include direct access to Protected Health Information (PHI) for patient treatment and healthcare operations purposes. Documents interventions on the patient chart, participates in patient rounds, case reviews, ethics consultations, and advanced directive consults. Provides crisis intervention and bereavement support, performs sacramental services, and maintains regular attendance. Provides education programs, inspiration, and support for patients, their loved ones, team members, and the community to promote the relationship between spirituality and health. Per request, provides devotions and/or invocations for Orlando Health and/or Orlando Health sponsored functions. Qualifications include a Master level theological degree, accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools preferred, four units of Clinical Pastoral Education for full time, two units for part-time, and one unit for pool. Ordination, licensure, or commissioning and endorsement as a chaplain by a religious body listed in the US Defense Department list of Recognized Religions. Active spiritual faith demonstrated.
