Shop Helper
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 6:00pm, Fridays as needed
Pay Rate: $16/hr
Location: Angleton, TX
Experience: 6+ months recent experience
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Shop Helper to support day-to-day operations in our client's machine shop. This is an entry-level position focused on part finishing, general shop upkeep, and keeping our production moving smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Part Finishing: Grind, deburr, clean, and prep machined metal parts for delivery or further processing.
- Shop Maintenance: Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and tidy.
- Material Handling: Move materials, raw stock, and finished components throughout the shop as needed.
- Support: Assist machinists and shop supervisors with general shop tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliability with a safety-first mindset.
- Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks.
- Paint Experience: Spray painting or industrial coating experience is a plus, but not required (we are willing to train the right candidate).
