Salary: $87,000 - 127,000 per year Requirements:

• 10 or more years of relevant experience managing server and support services, including at least 3 years in an IT outsourcing environment managing contractor performance.
• Experience in leadership and work assignment, and data center configuration item management.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, or military organizations. Experience on the same or a similar contract is highly desirable.
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Ensure effective support for physical and virtual servers across Unix, Windows, and Linux; virtual desktop infrastructure; server provisioning; mainframes; server platform management; and server refresh, installation, and retirement.
• Oversee the performance of dedicated team leads across data center operations, Wintel, VMware and virtualization, Unix and Linux, storage and backup, middleware, mainframe, and data center facilities management.
• Configure and manage data center management tools to support the full suite of functions needed for normal FDIC data center operations.
• Oversee the data center management tools configuration management database.
• Oversee data center facilities management at the data centers and other locations.

We are collaborating with hackajob to recruit a Data Center Team Lead for TekSynap, supporting the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Our technical team supports the Primary Data Center in Arlington, Virginia, and the Backup Data Center in Carrollton, Texas, with a focus on customer service and professional expertise. The position is based in Arlington in a low-noise environment, typically on a Monday–Friday day shift, with occasional evening or weekend work as program needs require and less than 10% travel. The work environment varies. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, kneeling or crouching, reaching, and handling items weighing up to 10 pounds, with frequent lifting of up to 25 or 50 pounds; close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are also required.
