MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Encompass Health Corporation, a premier provider of inpatient rehabilitation and home-based care, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to ensure optimal functioning of hospital facilities and equipment. This role is vital to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our rehabilitation hospitals, where frontline healthcare services are provided. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and addressing emergent facility issues, contributing directly to the health and wellbeing of patients and staff. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently. Excellent understanding of health and safety practices. Qualifications Certification in Mechanical Maintenance, HVAC or equivalent technical certification is preferred.
