Travel Occupational Therapist - $2,462 per week

Overview TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a travel job in Farmington, New Mexico. Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities As an OT, responsible for the evaluation and development of a plan of care for patients needing to improve, regain and develop skills for daily living in the acute care setting. Review patients' medical history, assess, and observe patients performing tasks. Evaluate a patient's condition and needs; develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities. Assist individuals with various disabilities to perform tasks and improve function. Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs. Educate a patient's family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient. Recommend and instruct on the use of any necessary equipment. Assess and document patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and communication with physicians and other healthcare providers. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Qualifications Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply. Experience of 1 year preferred; a 6-month experience may be accepted for an exceptional candidate. BLS and NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean or stoop as needed. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Additional Certifications: NBCOT (OTR), BLS; 1 year experience preferred. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
