Job Description Job Description Build Advanced Custom Equipment at LACO Technologies LACO Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician III to join our Production Assembly team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled assembler who enjoys solving mechanical challenges, building complex equipment, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish. As a senior member of the team, you'll help build custom vacuum and leak testing systems used by leading organizations in aerospace, medical, automotive, and advanced technology industries. What You'll Do Assemble complex mechanical systems from engineering drawings and bills of material Install and integrate mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum components Perform mechanical troubleshooting and resolve assembly challenges Ensure assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance requirements Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test teams Support continuous improvement initiatives Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Proven ability to independently build and troubleshoot complex mechanical equipment Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and assembly documentation Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Experience Typically attained through 5+ years of experience in machine building, industrial equipment assembly, fabrication, maintenance, automation equipment, custom machinery, or related mechanical work. Candidates with demonstrated expertise in building and troubleshooting complex equipment may be considered with fewer years of experience.
