Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neurologist (Per Diem)  to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan . Metropolitan Hospital is a full-service community hospital that provides state-of-the-art care and leading-edge technology in a modern environment. We provide culturally sensitive care to patients from all five New York City boroughs in a welcoming and hospitable setting and utilizing the latest advances in medical science. Opportunity Details:

• Involves in-patient consultation service and out-patient clinic work, as well as teaching for Medical Residents and Medical Students.
• In the Neurology Department, we treat acute stroke patients with tPA - Thrombectomy cases are transferred.
• We have won the AHA/ASA GWTG (Get With The Guidelines) Gold Plus Award in stroke for 6 years in a row.
• EMGs are performed and interpreted by the Rehabilitation Department.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology.
• Active and unrestricted NYS medical license. 
• Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required. 

Per Diem Rate: $106.77* per hour
