Job Description

The Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) will provide support in the Operating Room, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care during procedures. This position requires specialized training and experience in Robotics, Urology, and Thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and effective surgical outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Perform necessary tasks, such as suturing, instrument handling, and securing drainage systems.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for preoperative and postoperative care processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
• Active West Virginia RN or compact license required; pending licenses accepted with active license to start.
• Experience in Robotics, Urology, and Thoracic procedures is essential.
