Security Operations Engineer
VirtualVocations
Providing technical and operational support for managed detection and response (MDR) customers, the full-time Security Operations Engineer will assist with incident follow-up, technical troubleshooting, and compliance reviews while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Review and investigate MDR alerts, supporting incident validation and remediation activities Support the deployment and administration of Sophos MDR technologies and troubleshoot technical issues Assist with Cyber Hygiene assessments and provide security advisory support to improve customer environments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field 3+ years of experience in security operations, cybersecurity engineering, or incident response Preferred certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or similar Knowledge of Microsoft 365, endpoint security, and security investigation methodologies Professional proficiency in Spanish is a plus
