Electrical engineer

job summary:
Our client, a leader in the design, manufacturing, and building of custom electrical power control and protection systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer. Key qualifications include a minimum of 4 years of direct electrical engineering experience and high proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or power modeling tools (such as ETAP or SKM) for load flow, short-circuit, and arc flash analysis. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required, as well as a Professional Engineer (PE) license (or a willingness to obtain one).

responsibilities:

• Schematic & Wiring Design: Designing AC and DC schematics and wiring diagrams for protective relay panels and control enclosures used in high-voltage power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  
  
• Design & Sub-Contractor Review: Reviewing internal drawing packages to ensure they conform to high-quality industry standards, as well as reviewing sub-contractor designs for accuracy.
  
  
• Cross-Departmental Technical Support: Serving as a technical expert for customers, Project Managers, and the Fabrication/Shop department to ensure designs accurately meet customer specifications.
  
  
• Inspection & Testing Support: Inspecting physical products to verify they conform to design specs and collaborating directly with the functional testing team on the production floor as needed.
