Construction Branch Manager

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead operations in California. Key Responsibilities Lead Branch Operations Oversee all branch activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations from field to office. Drive compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations. Manage scheduling, staffing, and project execution to deliver consistent results. Partner closely with stakeholders, including project managers and foremen, to keep jobs on track. Own Financial Performance Monitor and drive branch profitability, balancing revenue, expenses, and job costs. Prepare budgets and forecasts. Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and invoices. Inspire and Develop People Hire, train, and mentor project managers, field staff, and administrative team members. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional growth. Build a positive, collaborative team culture that celebrates success and problem‑solving. Grow Client & Business Relationships Cultivate long‑term partnerships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and business development. Represent Mathews Mechanical at client meetings, industry events, and in the community. Drive Strategic Growth Align branch operations with company‑wide goals and values. Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Contribute to the company's long‑term vision and success. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven track record managing commercial or industrial construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and job costing. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling tools. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. OSHA 30 Certification. Experience with estimating and business development.
