Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Circulator for an Orthopedic Surgery Operating Room position requiring 3+ years of high-volume circulating experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room department within a hospital setting
• Orthopedic surgical service line covering total joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, shoulder, ankle), fracture repair, arthroscopic, and sports medicine procedures
• 13-week assignment with five weekday shifts scheduled 06:45-15:15
• May be required to arrive as early as 5:45am for cases starting at 6:30am
• Floating to other services may be required based on department needs
• Call coverage required after normal business hours and on weekends

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 3 years of recent full-time experience as a circulating nurse in a high-volume hospital setting required
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of orthopedic surgery procedures required
• Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment without additional training
• Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed required
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required
• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required

Additional Information

• Serve as circulating nurse supporting a full range of orthopedic surgical procedures
• Candidates should be prepared to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
• Radius rule applies which may reduce pay rate for local candidates depending on facility location
• Local candidates are accepted, though rate may be adjusted based on proximity
• Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered
