Security Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a formal training or certification in security engineering concepts, along with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
• We need experience building security engineering solutions.
• We need demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• We need proficiency in Java or Golang.
• We need a solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
• We need the ability to review and verify AI-assisted code and security recommendations before use, escalating when needed and following security and data handling standards.
• We need a strong grasp of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We need the ability to work through moderately ambiguous requirements and own features through delivery.
• Preferred: experience with streaming or asynchronous workloads, or distributed systems patterns such as idempotency and eventual consistency.
• Preferred: hands-on experience implementing LLM-powered agents or copilots in production or advanced prototypes.

• We design, develop, and troubleshoot security solutions, applying existing security capabilities to meet internal client requirements.
• We write secure, high-quality production code and maintain synchronous algorithms.
• We optimize latency and cost while managing load, caching, concurrency, and data growth.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to speed up security analysis and vulnerability assessment documentation while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
• We lead continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
• We apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC and toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation with traceability and auditability.
• We refactor code, reduce technical debt, improve CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to engineering best practices.
