Actuary, Annuity Valuation (Qualified Actuary Team)Lincoln has an exciting opportunity for an Actuary within the Annuity Qualified Actuary team. This role offers a unique valuation perspective with opportunities to contribute thought leadership across key company initiatives. The team is responsible for providing guidance and ensuring the accurate implementation of reserve methodologies to support new product development and evolving regulatory requirements. This is a highly collaborative role, partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Investments, Pricing, Risk Management, and Experience Studies to provide valuation and regulatory insights. The position also offers exposure to broader industry discussions related to annuity valuation.What you'll be doing:Provide specialized expertise and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders on annuity valuation mattersEnsure actuarial models and assumptions for assigned areas comply with all company policies and applicable financial and regulatory requirementsStay informed on emerging trends and regulatory changes, assess impacts, and partner with leadership to incorporate updates into strategyReview quarterly GAAP and Statutory results, identifying and communicating key driversIdentify, evaluate, and resolve risks, exposures, and key business issuesCollaborate with stakeholders to support sound financial decision-making and risk management practices across the enterprisePartner with Finance to deliver data, analysis, and exhibits required for financial reportingEnsure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with professional standards across all deliverablesLead interactions with regulators, auditors, and industry surveys, ensuring prompt and effective responsesSupport the development and analysis of operational and risk metrics for management reportingDrive innovation and continuous improvement in reserving and reporting processesCollaborate closely with finance and pricing leadership to manage annuity product lines effectivelyContribute to the review and reporting of annuity assumption changesBuild strong internal and external partnerships to advance business objectives and industry alignmentWhat we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of progressive actuarial experienceFSA designation preferred, or ASA with significant additional experienceStrong experience with annuity products, valuation, and regulatory frameworksDeep knowledge of accounting and capital frameworks (STAT, GAAP, Tax, RBC, EC)Experience analyzing financial statements (balance sheet, income statement) and projectionsStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex conceptsProven relationship management and collaboration skills across cross-functional teamsDemonstrated project management ability, including managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentExperience with AXIS, Dataiku, and Tableau is a plusAdvanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPointApplication Deadline: Applications for this position will be accepted through August 30th, 2026 subject to earlier closure due to applicant volume.What's it like to work here? Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
