GenSystems Power Solutions is seeking a hands-on Quality & Reliability Manager to lead product quality, manufacturing excellence, reliability improvement, and customer quality performance across the organization.

As GenSystems expands its product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, and field operations, this position will build and strengthen scalable quality systems that support continued growth. The Quality & Reliability Manager will lead the investigation and permanent resolution of product, manufacturing, supplier, warranty, and field-quality issues while identifying systemic opportunities for improvement.

Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Field Operations, suppliers, and customers, this leader will translate operational data and technical findings into sustainable improvements in product design, manufacturing processes, supplier performance, and field reliability.

The successful candidate will combine engineering discipline, structured problem-solving, statistical analysis, continuous improvement, automation, and data-driven decision-making to eliminate recurring issues and ensure quality is designed into every product and process.

Primary Responsibilities

• es. Ensure corrective actions address systemic causes and permanently eliminate recurrence rather than provide temporary containment
• nt.Develop and implement scalable quality systems, procedures, standards, and controls that support business growth and ISO 9001 compliance
• Reduce the Cost of Poor Quality through measurable improvements in manufacturing performance, process capability, first-pass yield, rework, warranty performance, and operational effectiveness
• Analyze manufacturing, supplier, warranty, customer, and field-performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems that provide visibility into product, manufacturing, supplier, and field performance
• Partner with Engineering to improve product reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and design quality
• ty. Collaborate with Manufacturing to improve process controls, first-pass yield, product consistency, and Factory Acceptance Test performance
• Work with Supply Chain and suppliers to improve incoming material quality, supplier performance, and corrective-action effectiveness
• Lead technical investigations involving customer quality concerns and communicate findings, containment actions, root causes, and permanent corrective actions.
• Implement preventive quality methodologies, including FMEA, Statistical Process Control, Control Plans, process capability analysis, mistake-proofing, and Poka-Yo
• ke.Lead internal audits, management reviews, corrective actions, and continual improvement activities within the Quality Management System.
• Capture and deploy lessons learned across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Field Operations
• Leverage AI, automation, digital technologies, and advanced analytics to accelerate investigations, improve quality performance, and strengthen decision-making
• Lead and develop two direct reports while helping build a broader culture of accountability, prevention, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated success leading quality functions, quality systems, or major quality improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of structured Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action, and systematic problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, statistical analysis, process capability, and continuous improvement.
• Experience improving manufacturing quality, product reliability, first-pass yield, process controls, or operational performance through engineering and data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to analyze complex technical and operational data and convert findings into sustainable product and process improvements.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Field Operations, suppliers, customers, and executive leadership.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Strong technical writing, presentation, project management, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple investigations and improvement initiatives while delivering measurable business results.
• Willingness to travel to company, supplier, and customer locations as business needs require.

• Reliability engineering
• Supplier quality engineering
• Complex engineered products or industrial equipment
• Power generation, energy systems, oilfield equipment, rotating equipment, or electrical and mechanical systems
• Advanced Product Quality Planning
• Design FMEA and Process FMEA
• Statistical Process Control and process capability analysis
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• ERP, MES, PLM, or CMMS platforms
• Quality analytics, automation, AI-enabled analysis, or digital quality systems
• ASQ, Lean Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or reliability-related certifications
