Material Coordinator

Job Summary Must have knowledge of and be able to coordinate the transfer of materials, parts and finished products between various work areas and warehouse. Ensure material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules. Assist other departments/team members. Responsibilities Inspect and record shipments of material and equipment. Process work orders and expedite shipping and distribution. Perform routine shipping and receiving tasks. Compile inventory reports for management review. Maintain equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Sort and count parts and supplies, logging inventory. Ensure correct parts are kept in appropriate quantities to support production and assembly. Assist other team members in materials handling functions. Ensure continuous supply of materials to one or more production or assembly areas. Transport requested material. Assist onsite Quality Control with material traceability reports. Requirements Prefer 4 years of experience as a Material Coordinator / Inventory Administrator. Ability to communicate well with site staff and PM. Proficient with emails, Microsoft Office, and Excel spreadsheets. Ability to read construction drawings. Very organized with bill of lading and material traceability reports. Ability to work under pressure. Work on project Monday through Saturday, 10 hours a day. Able to receive and document company provided materials. Physical: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; ability to stand for extended periods; walk property and laydown yards; carry up to 50 pounds.
