Pipelayer / Utility Laborer – Amarillo, TX
Join a growing civil construction company where you can build a long-term career working on essential infrastructure and underground utility projects.
Aspen Earthworks is seeking hardworking and reliable Pipelayers / Utility Laborers to support utility installation and site development projects in Amarillo, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and want to be part of a team building critical water, sewer, and storm utility systems.
What You'll Do
- Assist with installation of underground water, sewer, and storm drain systems
- Perform trench preparation, bedding, backfilling, and compaction activities
- Support excavation and utility construction crews on active job sites
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment
- Assist equipment operators with site coordination and safe operation
- Perform site preparation, general labor duties, and jobsite cleanup
- Help maintain OSHA and company safety standards
- Set up traffic control devices, barricades, cones, and safety markers as needed
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience preferred
- Underground utility or pipelayer experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50-100 lbs regularly
- Experience using hand tools and basic construction equipment
- Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Pipelayer experience
- Experience operating skid steers, backhoes, or other light equipment
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with civil construction, excavation, trenching, or site development projects
Compensation & Benefits
- $22.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience
