Railcar Repair Technician
$22 - $24 per hourDoherty
Job Duties
Inspect railcars to determine overall condition and identify issues
Repair and replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts
Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
Measure dimensions and ensure proper fit of components
Inspect completed work to verify proper function and safety
Seal gaps or cracks to prevent leaks and moisture intrusion
Minimum Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
Basic mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments
Reliable transportation to the Erskine area
