Global Network Operations Center Technician – Night Shift Location: Culpeper, VA Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities Provide Tier 2 support to an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, intranet and internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on performance and provide advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach. Apply software, hardware, and standard IT skills in analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of open systems for Information Management (IM) applications. Ensure systems and applications are compliant with open systems architecture standards such as the IEEE Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model across the application platform, API, and external environment/software application. Evaluate and recommend commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) applications and methodologies that provide interoperable, portable, and scalable IT solutions. Perform analysis and validation of reusable software and hardware components to ensure integration into interpretable IM designs. Schedule Sunday – Wednesday (8hrs) or Wednesday – Saturday (8hrs) Night shifts: 10pm – 6am or 6pm – 6am Required Qualifications/Certifications Hands‑on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT business systems. Strong understanding of OSI model and configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP. Minimum 10years of applicable experience (combination of education and work history).
