Senior Accountant

Client in Kings County seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for a company's financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. Responsibilities:

• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Prepare documentation for External Auditors.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary.
• Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO in running audits.
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.
• Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
• Managing income and expenditure accounts
• Generating the company's financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Keeping a check on the company's finances based on financial status
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team

• Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations

4 year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required if associate has recent equivalent professional experience. Must have 5+ years experience as Senior Accountant within the Ag Industry and experience with Famous Software.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 Per Hour
