Teacher Assistant Requirements
Casa del Niño Bilingual Montessori School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Assistants who meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred.
- Fluent Spanish speaker with strong reading and writing skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally in basic English.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Full-Time only).
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Genuine love for working with children and supporting their development.
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with Montessori Guides and school administration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to assist with classroom preparation, organization, and maintenance.
- Ability to supervise children and ensure their safety throughout the day.
- Good physical condition to work with young children, including diaper changing, assisting with toileting, classroom cleaning, playground supervision, and lifting classroom materials when needed.
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting school policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a prepared Montessori environment.
- Support children during classroom activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play.
- Help maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare materials and classroom activities as directed by the Lead Teacher.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for all students.
- Communicate professionally with staff and families when appropriate.
- Assist in implementing school procedures and safety protocols.

- Español fluido, hablado, leído y escrito correctamente.
- Capacidad para comunicarse profesionalmente en inglés básico.
- Disponibilidad para trabajar de lunes a viernes de 8:00 a.m. a 4:30 p.m. (Solo tiempo completo).
- Excelente asistencia y puntualidad.
- Genuino amor por los niños y compromiso con su desarrollo integral.
- Actitud positiva, paciencia y capacidad para trabajar en equipo.
- Habilidad para seguir instrucciones y colaborar con las Guías Montessori y la administración escolar.
- Organización, responsabilidad y atención al detalle.
- Disposición para ayudar en la preparación, organización y mantenimiento del ambiente de aprendizaje.
- Capacidad para supervisar a los niños y velar por su seguridad durante toda la jornada escolar.
- Buena condición física para trabajar con niños pequeños, incluyendo cambio de pañales, asistencia en el baño, limpieza del salón, supervisión en el patio y manejo de materiales escolares cuando sea necesario.
- Presentación profesional y conducta apropiada en todo momento.
- Compromiso con la confidencialidad y el cumplimiento de las políticas de la escuela.
Responsabilidades
- Apoyar a la Guía Montessori en el mantenimiento de un ambiente preparado y ordenado.
- Asistir a los niños durante las actividades del salón, transiciones, comidas y recreo.
- Ayudar a mantener el salón limpio, organizado y listo para las actividades diarias.
- Preparar materiales y actividades según las indicaciones de la Guía Montessori.
- Fomentar un ambiente positivo, respetuoso y afectuoso para todos los estudiantes.
- Colaborar profesionalmente con el personal y las familias cuando sea apropiado.
- Apoyar la implementación de los procedimientos y protocolos de seguridad de la escuela.
