Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Florence, Kentucky area to identify a skilled Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position offers the chance to join a stable organization while contributing to key accounting and financial operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.Assist with inventory and cost accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.Assist with internal and external audit requests.Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial controls.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2+ years of accounting experience.Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.Strong understanding of month-end close procedures.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsManufacturing accounting experience.Experience with ERP systems.Background in inventory accounting or cost accounting.Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
