Associate Director of Systems and Funds Management Position Title Associate Director of Systems and Funds Management The Office of Financial Aid is seeking an Associate Director of Systems and Funds Management to serve as a member of the Financial Aid Leadership team. The Associate Director of Systems and Funds Management will be responsible for cyclical and day-to-day operations, business and processes, and to provide oversight to the systems and fiscal management staff. The position requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to regulatory and policy compliance. Duties include: Leading the systems team in testing, optimization and maintenance of processing conducted through Oracle PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS). Maximizing system functionality to ensure efficiency and accuracy of financial aid awarding. Analysis of data in relation to FAFSA completion, packaging, scholarship strategies, and student success. Reporting progress, coordinating activities, and leading financial aid team members, to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects. Assist in determining strategic focus, project phases, system requirements, outcomes and implementation plans, including methodologies, timelines, and tasks. Oversee and direct the development and management of new initiatives for improving student services, and business and financial aid operations within Financial Aid and Scholarships. Direct the development of budget projections and expenditure analysis related to State, Federal, Institutional and UB Foundation accounts. Manage processes to ensure annual reporting requirements are satisfied by deadlines. Collaboratively, work with Enterprise Application Services (EAS) to ensure effective management of existing financial aid software systems as well as the implementation of new software solutions. Develop and maintain policy and procedure documents, testing plans and training materials. Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00 pm; evenings and weekends as needed to meet the business needs. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience in Financial or Master’s Degree with 1 year of experience in Financial Aid Administration. Demonstrated experience with student information systems and federal financial aid platforms. Preferred Qualifications A Master’s degree with 5-7 years experience supervising Financial Aid staff. Three or more years’ experience with Oracle PeopleSoft SIS and Microsoft Access.
