Fitness Manager

Position Purpose Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, maintain a healthy pipeline of clients, and ensure members receive an exceptional fitness experience. Responsibilities Achieve month‑over‑month sales targets and drive membership growth. Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and smooth transitions into the club. Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers. Manage payroll for Assistant Fitness Managers and Personal Trainers to ensure timely payment. Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to department leaders and staff. Ensure all staff hold valid certifications (CPR, First Aid, personal trainer certifications). Provide constructive, specific performance feedback to staff. Maintain high‑quality customer service by addressing member concerns and resolving issues promptly. Engage members in an approachable, listening manner and provide helpful responses. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols. Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness, including equipment and common areas. Communicate calmly during emergencies or disruptions, keeping staff and members informed. Qualifications 2+ years of management experience; fitness/personal training management preferred. 3–4 years of customer service experience. Personal training sales experience highly preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Excellent relationship‑building and influencing ability across all levels. Detail orientation and systematic problem‑solving with strong time management. Proficiency in MS Office. Alignment with EōS’s Core Values. Requirements Successful background check required. CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Valid PT certification. Prior sales experience required. Ability to work in a gym setting, move around the club, and communicate with staff, members, and public. Proficiency with the company computer system for data entry, document preparation, and email communications. Physical ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs. routinely.
