Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for our PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) at a leading medical center. The role involves preparing surgical patients for anesthesia, monitoring recovery, and providing phase 2 recovery care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery by establishing IV access and assessing their readiness.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses during recovery, including moderate sedation management.
• Administer IV starts, nerve blocks, and arterial or central lines as needed.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Follow unit policies and maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of acute care experience.
• Proficient in IV starts and moderate sedation procedures.
• Experienced in preoperative preparation and Phase 2 recovery procedures.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
