The Division of Medical Quality Assurance’s Bureau of Operations, Operational Support Services unit, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team. In this role you will work with our Central Records and Project Management teams on a project to dispose of electronic records that have met retention while ensuring records which require permanent retention are not disposed. Current and concise documents files for licensees are crucial for maintaining efficiency across multiple program areas. Your Specific Responsibilities: The System Project Consultant is a business analyst position that performs advanced level work with independent performance under limited supervision. The successful candidate assists in developing and building data reports and business intelligence applications and dashboards. The business analyst helps managers and stakeholders understand requirements and results and serves as a business and systems information conduit between internal and external customers. The business analyst communicates and collaborates with regulatory board offices and internal and external entities to analyze business needs and functional and statutory requirements, delivering the following documents as needed: Business Requirements Documents User Acceptance Testing Scripts Records Disposition Schedules and Forms. The business analyst aids in creating visual representations such as charts, graphs, animations, infographics, and other presentation formats to convey data and information effectively. The business analyst conducts research and performs quality assurance audits related to the performance of the system models used by the Department; analyzes errors of the model and designs strategies to overcome them; uses skilled decision-making techniques in evaluating, planning, and integrating analysis of data to formulate solutions, verifying data quality; and makes recommendations to management to improve the performance of the systems. The business analyst prepares reports recording the results of systems work performed, including technical writings such as operation manuals, procedure guides, or operator instructions required for operations and use. The business analyst collaborates with team members and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between system usability, customer experience and business needs and helps business stakeholders understand the potential and limitations of the system when planning new products. The business analyst collaborates with teams and customers (internal and external) on diverse projects, engaging in brainstorming and strategic planning for data use and data literacy, including creating and leading presentations and trainings. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally. Ability to exercise independent judgement and initiative in carrying out assignments. Ability to learn, understand, and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies, and procedures for licensing. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities to meet strict deadlines. Ability to concentrate, provide great attention to detail, and maintain a pre-approved work schedule. Ability to work independently and establish and maintain dependable, effective working relationships with others. Ability to learn and utilize job-specific software such as LEIDS and AxiomPro and office equipment such as phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers. Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office software and in using Windows-based computers. Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years’ experience that includes document management, electronic document management, document and data organization, data entry, document preparation computer software use, and handling sensitive information. The role requires the ability to manage periodic interruptions, perform duties within a confined workspace, and remain seated at a computer workstation for extended periods.
