Product Stewardship Engineer II

Becton Dickinson seeks a Product Stewardship Engineer II to manage product specifications, compliance data, and material attributes within database systems. The role involves regulatory compliance support, impact assessments, and cross-functional collaboration across R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product specifications, bills of materials, material attributes, and compliance data in internal database and ERP systems
• Ensure BD products meet material compliance requirements for global human health, environmental regulations, and sustainability initiatives
• Conduct impact assessments for new products and design or supplier changes affecting regulatory compliance
• Produce technical documentation for BD devices and manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance objectives are met for relevant regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related scientific field plus 2 years industry or combined industry/education experience, OR Master's degree in same fields
• Prior experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle JDE
• Strong chemistry background with emphasis on chemicals and substances in materials
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage competing priorities

Compensation: $83,500–$133,500 USD annual
