Wake Forest Emergency Providers, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest School of Medicine, delivers high-quality emergency care across Hospital Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments throughout the Greater Charlotte Market and Central and Northwest North Carolina. • Physician-led scheduling:
• Watauga: 8–9-hour shifts
• Cannon: 12-hour shifts
• Annual ED Volume:
• Watauga: ~25,000 visits
• Cannon: ~8,500 visits
• 7 full-time physicians; 2 full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• In-House Coverage (24/7):
• OB, Hospitalists, Pediatrics
• Surgery and Orthopedics
• Cardiology with PCI & STEMI capabilities
• On-Call Specialties:
• ENT, GI, Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Radiology, Palliative Care
• EPIC EMR
• Access to Abridge, an AI-powered documentation tool integrated with Epic

Training and/or Experience Required

• Emergency Medicine Board Certified / Board Eligible
• North Carolina Medical License (or eligibility)
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration in North Carolina
