Resident Accounts Management

Position Summary:

The Treasury Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of ACH and other electronic payment transactions on behalf of BCG clients. This position supports other departments (such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll) through payment batch preparation and posting, transaction controls, reconciliation, exception handling, account maintenance, reporting, and client banking support. The role requires exceptional accuracy, sound judgment, and strict adherence to established authorization and documentation procedures.

General Job Duties:

Essential Job Functions:

• Process authorized ACH and electronic payment transactions accurately and timely, including high-volume and high-dollar transactions.
• Prepare, validate, and process payment batches; verify totals, effective dates, account information, and supporting documentation prior to submission.
• Validate banking information and payment authorizations, including account and routing information, and maintain accurate banking records in applicable systems.
• Post ACH and other electronic payment activity to resident/client accounts and ensure transactions are accurately reflected in the Accounts Receivable system.
• Monitor ACH returns, rejected or failed transactions, and retries; research causes and complete timely resolution or escalation.
• Perform independent reconciliation of processed transactions, bank activity, payment batches, and Accounts Receivable records; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain transaction controls and documentation, including complete audit trails, approvals, supporting records, and adherence to established processing procedures.
• Manage payment exceptions and account maintenance, including corrections, banking changes, transaction issues, and other items requiring research and problem resolution.
• Serve as a point of contact for client payment and banking matters; communicate with clients and financial institutions as needed to resolve transaction issues and support banking relationships.
• Prepare and review payment, reconciliation, exception, and Accounts Receivable reports; identify errors or unusual activity and elevate concerns promptly.
• Follow established client and internal processing calendars, authorization requirements, transaction limits, security protocols, and deadlines.
• Independently take on clients after introductory training period.
• Conduct yourself professionally with clients and other team members at all times. Escalate customer and/or account concerns to your direct supervisor. Ensure the highest level of customer service possible.
• Complete client education and relationship building as needed.
• This position is responsible for cross training with Claims and Accounts Receivable roles to the point of covering their roles during times of absence.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Working knowledge of financial transactions, reconciliation, internal controls, and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Flexibility pertaining to client needs and requests.
• Must be able to efficiently use Microsoft operating systems, with high proficiency in Excel.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Wellsky Software
• Experience with HIPAA compliance and PHI
• Experience with ACH/electronic payment processing, banking, treasury operations, bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable, or related financial operations
• Experience with payment reconciliation, exception handling, transaction controls, or high-volume financial processing preferred.
• An Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a similar field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Language Requirements:

The primary language of Brighton Consulting Group is English. Excellent communication skills are defined as the ability to:

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be necessary from time to time. Must be able to sit for long periods of time, use fine motor skills, have the ability to view a computer monitor, and type (up to 8 hours a day). Additionally, there may be exposure to moderate noise levels due to the office functions (i.e. talking, printing, copying, etc.)

FLSA Status:

Non-exempt/Hourly: This position is paid an hourly rate and therefore is eligible for 1.5 times the normal wage for every hour over 40 worked in a given work week. Overtime must be preapproved by your supervisor.

Employment Status:

Full time: This position at BCG requires at least 40 hours a week. Occasionally, time over 40 hours may be necessary to meet the requirements of the position. Full-time employees are eligible for employee benefits.
