Wellness Director / Director of Nursing (LPN)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Senior Suites at St. Clair Commons is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our leadership team as the Wellness Director / Director of Nursing. In this role, you will oversee all clinical operations within our assisted living community while ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centered care in a safe and welcoming environment.

• Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assisted living community.

• Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Health regulations, company policies, and assisted living standards.

• Complete resident assessments, develop individualized service plans, and conduct ongoing care evaluations.

• Coordinate physician orders, medication management, and resident healthcare services.

• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, medication technicians, and caregivers.

• Develop staff schedules and assist with staffing needs to ensure appropriate coverage.

• Participate in resident admissions, move-ins, care conferences, and discharge planning.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, and healthcare providers.

• Monitor resident health status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic health records.

• Promote a culture of teamwork, compassion, accountability, and exceptional customer service.

• Current Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare preferred.

• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, memory care, or senior living strongly preferred.

• Working knowledge of Ohio assisted living regulations and clinical compliance requirements.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.

• Ability to effectively lead and develop a multidisciplinary team.
