Assistant Superintendent

$65,000 Annual Salary

Sunday – Thursday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Join a growing affordable housing community seeking a hands-on Assistant Superintendent to help oversee the maintenance and day-to-day operations of a large residential property in Brooklyn.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated maintenance professional with strong building operations experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of residential systems.

What You'll Do

• Support the daily operation and maintenance of the property
• Complete apartment repairs and assist with unit turnovers
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and vendor repairs
• Monitor heating, sprinkler, and building systems
• Maintain inspection logs and ensure building compliance
• Assist with supervision of maintenance staff
• Handle work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal throughout the property
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours issues when needed
• Use Yardi to manage purchase orders and maintenance requests

What We're Looking For

• Previous superintendent or assistant superintendent experience
• Supervisory experience required
• Active S12 and S13 certifications required
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and general repairs
• Experience working in residential buildings
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies
• Yardi experience is a plus

• Non-live-in position
• Practical test required during interview process
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
