Full time Maintenance Supervisor at St. Anthony of Padua – Parma

The Maintenance Supervisor will maintain the rectory, church and school buildings and grounds to ensure full and productive use of all facilities. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in general maintenance, a strong work ethic, the ability to problem solve independently, and to respond to urgent issues at any time.
This position will work closely with the Pastor, Business Manager and Principal and other staff as needed. Reports to the Business Manager.
40-50 hours per week with varied hours.
Salary range $52,000 - $62,000 depending upon experience and skill level.
Pension, medical, dental and vision as provided by the Cleveland Diocese plans.

Key Responsibilities :
Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and basic mechanical work.

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure proper operation and safety.

Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including afterhours and weekends.

Maintain grounds, including winter maintenance, landscaping, debris removal and seasonal upkeep.

Maintain tools, equipment, vehicle maintenance and maintenance logs.

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and required inspections such as fire inspections, Asbestos Inspections, Board of Health Inspections, Backflow Prevention, etc, ensuring compliance with appropriate laws, codes and regulation.

Assist with and oversee with setup and teardown of events and spaces as needed.

Troubleshoot issues and determine the best course of action.

Oversee and manage any building or renovation projects with the guidance of the Business Manager.

Oversee school and parish maintenance staff and assist with the volunteers who clean the church.

Meet with the Business Manager regularly to review projects, purchases, supply ordering, etc.

Coordinate the purchase of all maintenance and custodial supplies and equipment with the approval of the Business Manager.

Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance, be trustworthy and practice confidentiality as needed.

Qualifications :
Ability to lift 50+lbs regularly

Ability to work in various weather conditions

Standing, walking, bending and climbing for extended periods of time

Ability to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours

Valid driver’s license, ability to pass background check, and Diocesan Virtus training are required

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively, as well as ability to effectively manage maintenance team members

Must hold or be willing to obtain a Designated Asbestos Management certificate
