Operations Manager Job Overview: Assist with coordinating and directing operations necessary to carry out contractual responsibilities between SBM and customers, including planning, supervision, budgeting, vendor and supply contact, customer relations, and other high‑level managerial or supervisory responsibilities. Roles & Responsibilities Develop work schedules to ensure adequate service. Prepare schedules for service personnel, assign personnel to routes, and monitor compliance. Perform inspections and evaluate establishments for program compliance (safety, quality, service). Help monitor inventories, supplies, and equipment. Manage special projects and investigate methods to improve equipment and processes. Review customer service requests to ascertain cause, type of malfunction, and address with management. Assist with implementation and execution of policies and goals. Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities. Assist with plans, budgets, and schedule modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, and contracts. Participate in the development of long‑range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements for program/process improvements. Coordinate program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts, and associated documents. Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees. Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., FLSA, OSHA, ADA). Act as liaison between company, customers, clients, employees, and subcontractors. Review correspondence concerning contractors and respond as appropriate. Establish and maintain contact with contractors to ensure smooth contract processes. Conduct and attend meetings to communicate consistently with customers, clients, and employees. Assist with human resource concerns and issues. Travel may be required for this position. Qualifications Education and Experience: A.A. Degree in Business Management or related field with 2+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications: CPR/AED/First Aid certification (preferred), forklift certification (may be required), valid driver’s license (may be required). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bilingual (preferred). Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment upkeep, cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use. Customer service, problem solving, time management, project management, planning, excellent presentation, interviewing, coaching, and training skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, employees, and the general public. Supervisory Responsibilities: Conduct interviews, hire, plan, assign, and direct work; perform performance evaluations; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems; ensure employees are properly trained in tasks and safety requirements. Physical Demands & Work Environment The employee must be frequently required to sit and talk or listen. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
