Recognizing and valuing exceptional talent, we're eager to discuss the exciting details of this bonus during our interview process.Summary:We are seeking a per diem Phlebotomist to work onsite at 260 Merrimac Street in Newburyport, MA. The Blood Draw Lab is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:45pm. Our Phlebotomists play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and are responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing. Essential Functions:-Obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.-Ensures accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation ofspecimens.-Communicates effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.-Handles sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.-Works fluently with computer programs and systems, and complies with HIPAA regulations.-Performs other test administration and specimen collection as assigned-Performs other duties as assigned-Complies with all policies and standards


Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

• Completion of a phlebotomy course preferred
