Ability to identify common native landscape plants of Texas Experience planting annuals Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of proper pesticide use. Knowledge of invasive plant species in our area. Tree pruning experience Job Description Assist the Director of Grounds in developing and maintaining a high-quality tier 1 landscape by performing quality assurance duties, identifying landscape improvement and renovation needs, assist in designing new beds, and identifying plant replacement needs. Ensure new landscape establishment. Job Duties Assist in preparing landscape beds by removing plant materials, amending soils, fertilizing, and mulching. Assist installing landscape materials. Assist in maintaining landscaped bed areas throughout campus. Perform quality assurance inspections and generate work orders. Assist in preparation of special events. Assist tree maintenance staff with tree planting, maintenance, or removal. Assist in equipment preventative maintenance. Identify herbicide application needs, plan and perform applications Perform other duties as assigned.
