About the Opportunity

Progressive Dental Marketing is looking for an experienced Creative Director of Video to lead the creative vision and development of our video department. We're looking for more than an exceptional videographer or editor. We want a creative leader who knows how to tell compelling stories, inspire talented people, and consistently produce work that makes an impact.

Our video team creates everything from powerful patient testimonials and cinematic brand stories to high-performing advertising creative and educational content for dental practices across the country. As our Creative Director of Video, you'll have the opportunity to shape how those stories are told, establish the standards behind our work, and develop a team of videographers and editors into exceptional creative professionals.

This is a hands-on creative leadership position for someone who loves the craft of filmmaking but finds equal satisfaction in mentoring others, solving creative challenges, and building a department that produces outstanding work at scale.

What You'll Do

Lead the Creative Vision

• Establish and elevate the visual identity, storytelling approach, and creative standards of our video department.
• Oversee creative development for patient testimonials, commercials, social media advertising, doctor interviews, brand films, and educational content.
• Transform client objectives and marketing strategies into compelling creative concepts, treatments, and production approaches.
• Bring fresh ideas, innovative techniques, and a strong creative perspective to every stage of production.

Develop and Inspire a Talented Team

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of videographers and video editors.
• Provide meaningful creative feedback that helps team members improve their storytelling, technical abilities, and creative judgment.
• Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in the work.
• Establish creative processes and standards that allow the team to consistently deliver exceptional work.

Direct Production and Post-Production

• Provide creative direction throughout production, including interviews, cinematography, lighting, composition, audio, and visual storytelling.
• Oversee the creative quality of post-production, including editing, pacing, sound design, music, color grading, motion graphics, and overall polish.
• Serve as the final creative authority on video deliverables, ensuring every project meets our quality standards.
• Participate in strategically important productions, bringing hands-on expertise while helping the team become stronger and more independent.

Connect Creativity with Marketing Performance

• Collaborate with our marketing, paid media, account management, and leadership teams to develop video content that supports client objectives.
• Understand how creative decisions influence audience engagement, brand perception, lead generation, and conversions.
• Use campaign performance insights to refine storytelling approaches, creative hooks, calls to action, and video formats.
• Help clients understand the creative strategy behind their content and how it supports their business goals.

Shape the Future of the Department

• Partner with department management to align creative priorities with production schedules, resources, and delivery expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows, production processes, and quality-control standards.
• Explore emerging production technologies, AI-powered creative tools, and innovative approaches to video storytelling.
• Help evaluate new talent, production partners, equipment, and resources as the department continues to evolve.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive professional experience in video production, creative direction, cinematography, and post-production.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, or developing videographers, editors, and other creative professionals.
• An exceptional portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling, production quality, and creative versatility.
• Expert-level understanding of camera systems, lighting, audio, directing, editing, color grading, and post-production workflows.
• Strong creative judgment with the ability to elevate a project from initial concept through final delivery.
• Experience developing video content for advertising, brand storytelling, social media, or commercial campaigns.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently present creative ideas to clients and internal stakeholders.
• The ability to provide clear, constructive feedback while maintaining high standards and positive team relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance creative excellence with the demands of a fast-paced production environment.
• A genuine interest in emerging technology, creative innovation, and continuously improving the quality of your work.

• Experience working in a marketing agency or high-volume creative production environment.
• Experience developing performance-driven video advertising for platforms such as Meta, YouTube, and other digital channels.
• Familiarity with healthcare, dental, or patient-focused storytelling.
• Experience building creative standards, training programs, or production workflows for growing teams.
• Experience incorporating AI-powered tools into video production and post-production processes.
