Job Title Physician Assistant - Cardiology, Stansbury Community Clinic Location Salt Lake City, UT Job Summary The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work on our team with an emphasis in general cardiology. The position is an outpatient clinic-focused role, primarily based out of our Stansbury Community Clinic and involves both independent work and close collaboration with physician partners and other advanced practice clinicians. Responsibilities Assess the physical condition of patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories. Formulate the medical plan and prognosis based on the patient’s condition. Collaborate with health care teams regarding patient care plans and treatment. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s clinical problems and health care needs. Initiate or recommend medical drug therapies or other related therapeutic treatments and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy. Comply with medical records policies regarding complete and accurate documentation of patient care, and initiate and maintain required records and legal documents. Participate in quality improvement activities. Advise patients, families and significant others about health and illness, and promote health maintenance. Evaluate, plan, implement, and re‑evaluate the care of individuals requiring emergency measures. Expectations Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. Demonstrate clinical competence and in‑depth knowledge of specialty area. Demonstrate leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills. Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served. Minimum Qualifications Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah. Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (to be obtained within 30 days of hire). Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, ATLS may be required by department or privileging criteria. Patient‑sensitive status and completion of required immunizations per CDC standards and hospital policy. Successful completion of a criminal background check and/or drug screen may be required.
