Job Title: Welder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder who will specialize in MIG welding and fabrication on components. The ideal candidate will read blueprints and take projects from start to finish, including fitting and welding custom jobs as well as engaging in production welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication on various components.

• Read and interpret blueprints to guide the welding process from start to finish.

• Fit and weld on custom projects as well as engage in production welding.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in MIG welding.

• 2+ years of fabrication experience.

• 2+ years of experience in blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with press brake.

• Ability to use a tape measure effectively.

• Understanding of fitting and flux core welding.

• Familiarity with different types of steel.

• Openness to greener candidates with some MIG and fabrication experience, as training on processes will be provided.

Work Environment

Work in a 10-person shop with a collaborative atmosphere. The position operates on a 1st shift from 6:00am to 3:00pm with flexibility, typically involving 9-hour days and optional 5-hour Saturdays. Initially, candidates will work a straightforward 40-hour week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
