Sr. Data Engineer

Job Details Senior Data Engineer—a full‑time, regular position located in Houston, TX. Responsibilities Use cloud‑based architecture, containerization and streaming technologies, and Python, .NET, Node, Java and SQL to design, implement and support full life‑cycle data engineering projects for current and future Summary of Operations applications and other Planning applications. Design, develop and maintain DB2, Oracle, MemSQL and Python code in an event‑driven distributed architecture. Maintain data‑flow pipelines between the Planning database and other data stores such as Primo, ODM and Accounting data. Resolve data quality issues effectively and timely by collaborating with multiple teams. Debug and support production issues and assist with system integration and testing. Qualifications Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, IT, CIS, MIS, or a closely related field. Minimum experience: Five (5) years as a Data Engineer, Oracle/Software/Applications/Database Engineer/Developer/Consultant. Alternate education: Master’s Degree in a related field. Alternate experience: Three (3) years as an Oracle/Software/Applications/Database Engineer/Developer/Consultant. Required technical skills: SQL, Python, .NET, Node, Java or a similar data query language in the design, implementation and support of full life‑cycle data engineering projects and event‑driven and cloud‑based architectures.
