We are seeking a reliable Class A CDL OTR Truck Driver to operate dry van freight on long over-the-road hauls. The driver will focus on safe transportation, vehicle inspections, and accurate log documentation using modern electronic tools. This role involves drop-and-hook operations, eliminating the need for loading or unloading cargo.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers for long-haul dry van freight transport
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips
- Maintain accurate log documentation using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- Comply with all safety regulations and transportation laws
- Utilize GPS navigation and fleet management software to efficiently complete routes
- Perform drop-and-hook procedures for freight handling
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in truck driving
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Experience with logbook and electronic logging device management
- Knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine maintenance
- Strong route and time management skills
- Thorough understanding of safety procedures
- Effective communication abilities
- Physical endurance for long-haul driving demands
