The Hospice Volunteer provides non-medical support to hospice patients and their families. Volunteers help improve quality of life through companionship, conversation, and emotional support while assisting the hospice care team with various supportive activities.

This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and interested in serving their community.

• As a hospice volunteer, you will:
• Provide companionship and emotional support to hospice patients
• Support families and caregivers during difficult times
• Contribute to a compassionate and mission-driven care team
• Gain valuable experience in healthcare, social work, or community service
• Make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Compassionate and empathetic personality
• Ability to listen and provide emotional support
• Reliable and committed to volunteer service
• Ability to respect patient privacy and confidentiality
• Completion of hospice volunteer training provided by Health Care Connectors
