Compensation: $170,000 - $250,000 + equity Contract: FTE Working style: hybrid About the job Hawkwood is partnering with one of the most exciting frontier AI companies in the market to hire a GTM / Forward Deployed Engineer Recruiter into their Talent team. Our client is building open-weight foundational AI models for enterprise and public sector use. Their work sits at the intersection of frontier AI, scaled infrastructure, and highly sensitive enterprise use cases, where control, security, and trust really matter. The business has raised significant capital, is backed by some of the most respected investors in the ecosystem, and has assembled a deeply impressive team with backgrounds from leading AI labs and technology companies. As the company continues to scale, they are building out several functions that sit between deep technical work, customer-facing deployment, and emerging go-to-market infrastructure. This includes Forward Deployed Engineers, AI Factory-style teams, and early GTM / business-critical hires. They are now looking for a recruiter who can operate in this nuanced talent landscape: someone technical enough to understand engineering‑adjacent profiles, commercial enough to appreciate customer‑facing and GTM requirements, and strategic enough to help shape hiring in areas that are still being defined. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter who enjoys building in ambiguity, partnering closely with senior stakeholders, and helping a frontier AI company define what world‑class talent looks like across some of its most business‑critical teams. What you’ll be doing Own full‑cycle recruiting for roles across Forward Deployed Engineering, technical GTM, and other customer‑facing technical functions Partner closely with hiring managers, talent leadership, and senior stakeholders to define hiring needs, target profiles, evaluation criteria, and search strategy Translate ambiguous or evolving business requirements into clear candidate profiles, structured processes, and high‑quality pipelines Recruit talent that may come from a range of backgrounds, including solutions engineering, technical consulting, product, AI/ML infrastructure, applied AI, enterprise deployment, or GTM‑adjacent technical roles Identify, engage, and assess high‑caliber passive candidates through tailored outreach, strong technical storytelling, and relationship‑led recruiting Act as a true talent advisor to hiring teams, bringing market insight, candidate calibration, funnel data, and structured feedback into the hiring process Help shape recruiting strategy for new and emerging teams where the hiring bar, interview process, and candidate profile may still be evolving Track pipeline health, conversion, sourcing effectiveness, and hiring velocity to continuously improve recruiting outcomes Represent the company’s mission, pace, ambition, and talent density with credibility in every candidate interaction What we’re looking for Strong full‑cycle recruiting experience across GTM, solutions, or customer‑facing engineering roles Experience hiring profiles such as Forward Deployed Engineers, Solutions Engineers, Technical Consultants, Applied AI Engineers, AI/ML talent, or technical GTM talent Comfortable operating in the grey area between technical and non‑technical hiring, particularly where roles are still being shaped by the business Strong technical fluency and the ability to understand, screen, and calibrate such candidates Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge misaligned requirements, advise on market realities, and bring structure to ambiguous searches Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth technology, AI, infrastructure, deep tech, enterprise SaaS, or venture‑backed startup environments Excellent candidate engagement skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach and build trust with high‑caliber passive talent A thoughtful, data‑driven approach to recruiting, with strong understanding of funnel conversion, sourcing strategy, process design, and pipeline quality Someone excited by frontier AI, exceptional talent density, and the opportunity to help define how a company builds new technical and commercial functions at scale The offer Competitive compensation and equity Opportunity to join one of the most ambitious frontier AI companies at a rare stage of growth Broad ownership across business sourcing for G&A and operational functions Exposure to an exceptionally high‑caliber team and hiring environment A role with clear impact on how the company scales during a critical phase of growth #J-18808-Ljbffr Hawkwood
