AUTOMOTIVE DIESEL TECHNICIAN

Dayton Andrews Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in St Petersburg is looking for Diesel Mechanics to join their industry leading Service Team!Competitive Pay | State-of-the Art Equipment | Performance Incentives
Responsibilities:
- Automotive Diesel Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel
- Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast of rapidly changing technology
- Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made

Job Requirements:
- Level III Chrysler Certification required
- 3+ years of Automotive Experience required
- 5 Certifications from The National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) which include: engine repair, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, electrical systems, automatic transmissions, manual transmission and axle, brakes and front end
- Ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and AC systems
- Hold a valid driver’s license
