Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), Per Visit, Home Health - Rockville

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Adventist HealthCare Home Health seeks to hire a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in the Rockville Territory to support the rehabilitation of patients and extend care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Assist in providing rehabilitation services for patients suffering from physical, mental, developmental problems, including congenital or accidental conditions, surgery, etc. Monitor patients, understand their health issues and requirements, and ensure they receive necessary support. Help patients progress through rehabilitative exercises and treatments as suggested by occupational therapists. Feed patients, dress them, change bedding, and help maintain hygiene. Maintain and order equipment used in the treatment process and give regular progress reports to clinicians. Document progress reports and make necessary treatment process changes as suggested by the medical team. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree from an accredited COTA program preferred. Site-specific experience preferred (minimum of 1 site-specific clinical affiliation required). Licensed in the State of Maryland. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. First Aid Certification issued by American Heart Association. Valid driver’s license with agency insurance requirements. Work Schedule Employment Type: Per Visit. Hours per Week: 4 hrs/week. Typical Daily Schedule: 2 full days per month / weekends. Shift Type: Days. Weekend Requirements: As needed. Holiday Requirements: As needed. Pay Pay Range: $25.63 - $35.89 per hour. Salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
