Job Summary

Are you an experienced Brake Press Operator looking to join a growing manufacturing team? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to support our Forming Department. In this role, you will operate and set up press brake equipment, perform quality inspections, and contribute to the production of high-quality fabricated components while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Brake Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:

• Operating brake press equipment – Set up and operate Cincinnati and Amada press brakes to accurately form sheet metal components according to specifications.
• Performing tooling changes and machine setup – Install, remove, and adjust tooling to meet production requirements and optimize machine performance.
• Inspecting and measuring parts – Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards.
• Maintaining production records – Accurately record production activity, quantities produced, scrap, and labor time using the company data collection system.
• Managing part identification and inventory – Ensure finished parts are properly counted, labeled, and tagged with customer, quantity, part number, and shop order information.
• Supporting safe and efficient operations – Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, follow all safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Additional responsibilities include standing for extended periods, lifting materials up to 75 pounds, and ensuring all work meets established quality and productivity standards.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience or related education preferred.
• Previous experience operating and setting up brake presses in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with shop mathematics.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
• Basic computer skills required.
