About the Position

Job Title: RN - Neonatal ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Basic vent management - Central line management - Pre/post-surgical management - Tracheostomy management - G-tube management - Basic breastfeeding skills - Bottle feeding skills - Gavage feeding management - Blood transfusion - Infant venous stick skills Description: We are a fast-paced Level IV NICU. We care for infants from 23 weeks and beyond, with varying degrees of acuity. The average daily census is 71. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience. First-time travelers are welcome. Patient types include 23-week to term infants with various surgical needs. There is support within the department with nursing assistants at a 1:20 ratio. There are 2 Charge RNs on each shift. Weekend rotation is every other weekend at a minimum. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Scheduling operates on a 6-week cycle. Scrub color is royal blue.
