Altamira believes that our people and the culture of our company differentiate us from other companies.Altamira is seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to support our National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) customer. You will bridge the gap between design and implementation, translating UI/UX concepts into clean, maintainable code within existing applications. In this role, you will proactively refine component hierarchies, champion scalable architectural patterns, and enforce a cohesive design system. You will partner directly with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional engineers to clarify functional and non-functional requirements. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of modernizing frontend codebases, a sharp eye for visual polish, and the communication skills to manage tradeoffs between engineering constraints and exceptional user experiences.Experience:Extensive experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, PenpotExtensive experience with frontend architectures (functional organization, rendering strategies, state management) and communication protocols (APIs, Websockets)Extensive experience with Cesium, AngularExperience with Typescript, JavaScript, Docker, git, PrimeNGFamiliarity with ElasticSearch, Node.js, Docker Swarm, GitLab CI/CD, Python, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Traefik, other TS/JS based frontend frameworks, design thinkingRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar) from an accredited college or universityAt least 4 years of experience doing UI/UX design workAt least 8 years of experience in Software EngineeringActive TS/SCI ClearanceAltamira is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
